da dobrowin: Leeds United made just one signing in the January transfer window – signing Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid on a free transfer.
da betsul: The Whites are cruising at the top of the Championship table under Marcelo Bielsa who opted to sign the Spanish goalkeeper to add competition for Bailey Peacock-Farrell. Many players were linked with a move to Elland Road but the deals failed to materialise. Focus now returns to securing Leeds’ return to the Premier League.
Should the Whites earn promotion, they will be able to attract a much higher calibre of player in the summer. As well as the financial gain, Leeds will once again be viewed as an extremely attractive club to join under Bielsa’s stewardship. To keep them in the division, new signings will be needed.
One man the Argentine could target is Copenhagen hotshot – Robert Skov. Valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, the 22-year-old has been one of the most in-form players in world football after joining his current employers last January. Skov has firmly established himself as a crucial first-team player and his showings should make the Leeds scouting team sit up and take notice.
Skov has netted an incredible 18 league goals in just 20 appearances so far this season, highlighting the threat he poses from the right wing. The youngster is a constant menace and would give Bielsa another top option in attack. The Denmark U21 international is also a set-piece specialist which could prove vital in beating relegation.
Still improving and developing, working with a world-class manager like Bielsa could do wonders for his development. Should the Whites gain promotion, signing Skov should be a priority.
