da fazobetai: Everton bounced back from defeat against Tottenham with an incredible team performance at Burnley on Boxing Day, and the performance of Bernard could really shake things up.
da gbg bet: After losing 6-2 at home to Spurs, Marco Silva was bound to make some changes for the trip to Turf Moor.
The boss’ most notable change came in attack, where the standout player of the season, Richarlison, had to settle for a place on the bench.
Former Wigan & Fulham man, Jimmy Bullard recently showed that he’s still got it! Check out the video below...
Fellow summer signing Bernard started in his place on the left wing, and the 26 year-old’s display was nothing short of sensational.
The 5 ft 5 in playmaker, whose electric acceleration and eye for a pass helped Shakhtar Donetsk win three league titles in his five years with the club, assisted two of the goals in the 5-1 win, and absolutely tortured Burnley left back Matthew Lowton all afternoon.
He completed one dribble, whipped in two crosses and also played three key passes, so it’s no surprise he is beginning to rack up the assists.
The Brazilian international has often been criticised for lack of end product, but he fired in two shots at Joe Hart’s goal, and was unlucky not to get on the scoresheet with one of them.
Of course, Silva demands a lot from his attacking players, and Bernard proved more than capable of leading the press from the front, making four tackles, the most of any player on the pitch.
Richarlison has stunned Everton fans with his work rate, skill and clinical finishing, but Silva simply cannot drop Bernard after such an incredible performance, so could we see Richarlison on the bench again on Saturday?
